Jeb Burch

Jeb Burch (226-88-35) has been the head coach of Centre men's soccer since the 2002 season. A 1994 graduate of Centre College, Burch went on to serve as the assistant coach until the end of the 2001 season.

Based upon winning percentage, Burch is ranked in the top 25 nationally among active division III coaches. The Colonels annually play one of the nation’s most difficult schedules as they prepare for the Southern Athletic Association conference tilt.

Recently, Burch led the Colonels on a historic run to the program's first ever NCAA Final Four, finishing the 2019 campaign 20-4-1 overall with a No. 4 ranking in the final United Soccer Coaches Poll.

Burch’s influences are Tony DiCicco, Frans Hoek, and Sir Alex Ferguson. Burch spent his formative years as a goalkeeper attending the newly formed Tony DiCicco Soccer Plus Goalkeeping Schools. He later served on the coaching staff with SPGS before being invited to join the staff of FIFA World Clinician Frans Hoek at his 3-week seminar in Sonoma, California. Burch was fortunate to have a captain whose brother played for Arsenal FC. Burch attended the Manchester United at Arsenal match in Highbury on a Sunday in 2004. He spent time at the Arsenal Training Grounds after their Champions League clash with Chelsea on a Wednesday leading up to their Sunday match with United.

Burch continues to develop a successful coaching tree. Former assistant coach Mark Hudson is Head Coach at Austin College, Jay Hoffman is currently Centre women’s Head Coach, David Horne was Director of Soccer Operations at the University of Louisville, Adam Boyer is Head Coach at Spalding University, former Captain and 3 year assistant Robbe Tarver is now assistant coach at the University of Louisville, Head Coach John Michael Hayden currently has 3 former Centre soccer players on his bench with Captain Jesse diLuzio serving as a volunteer assistant with UofL soccer, James Kusak was Head Coach at Bluffton University before taking over Director of Operations at the University of Louisville, former goalkeeper and assistant coach Chris Jackson led the Parkland College women’s team to the national championship game in 2016, former assistant Brian Bouhl is assistant coach with Georgetown University, former assistant Sam Brooks is now assistant coach at Northern Kentucky University, and Assane Ndiaye who is now assistant women’s coach at Gardner-Webb University.

Burch’s years at Centre include his time with Kentucky’s leading soccer camp. He is the Owner/Operator of Player Development Programs, LLC, (www.BurchSoccerCamps.com) and has worked with over 11,000 players.

Burch spends time in his community; recently helping renovate Danville’s Jackson Park dilapidated tennis courts into Futsal courts. He enjoys live music, travel, golf, canoeing, hiking, and BBQ. He is married to Centre College 1994 graduate Laura Jack.

I have had a profile on SINC Soccer for 4 years, and it helped me to organize my information so that I was ready when the recruiting process started. I had selected some schools using your site when I was 13 and that helped to start the conversation with those schools and find out about their ID camps, and when UNC made an offer I was prepared.
