Aaron Hoxie

Coach Hoxie will begin his twelfth season at the helm of the Tiger program. A landmark that could be realized this season is 100 career collegiate wins for the long time gaffer, which holds some significance to him. “100 wins for my time here at CCCK would be a great achievement for me. It is meaningful because that means I have been successful at my job long enough for the college to keep me around. It is meaningful because I have coached some really great kids, and they are deserving of this achievement even more, they are the ones sacrificing and spilling their blood daily, they are the ones competing."

Thinking through the upcoming season, Coach Hoxie added, “I think this next year we could be poised for another fun season. We are senior heavy, most of which have been four year starters. These guys know what the standard is, and their desire to grow the program has never been stronger. Coming off of a regional championship, our first, the players have set a new bar for what the program is capable of. The key is going to be getting off to a hot start. We can’t afford early season blunders because we spent all summer eating fajitas and frijoles on the beach, we need to arrive in shape, and in good health. August and September are going to be difficult for us.”

As mentioned, the Tigers start off their campaign by playing through the heart of the KCAC. It will be a tough campaign, but it should prepare the men for Sooner Athletic Conference play, and hopefully, a deep playoff run.

Coach Hoxie played four years of collegiate soccer at Philadelphia Biblical University (now Cairn University), where he was mentored and coached by Tom Fink. “Coach gave me the passion for teaching soccer. I owe much of my philosophy to him.” While at PBU, he was NSCAA All-American First team three times and honorable mention once. He was conference MVP his junior year. His teams finished second twice, third once, and fifth at the NCCAA DII National Tournament.

He is married to his wife Kristen and have three children, Tyler (21), Hayden (16), and Hayley Jo (14). In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Coach Hoxie finds time to coach Hayley’s MCFC U14 team and is the President of McPherson City Football Club. He also took on the responsibility of coaching the 05/06 Sporting Wichita team. He and his family currently attend McPherson Free Methodist Church.

Matthew Malone

Matt Malone is entering his seventh season as Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach for the Tiger’s program. In the past six seasons Coach Malone has had the opportunity to primarily manage the development squad and prepare the younger Tigers for success with the first team. Coach Malone also assists Coach Hoxie with the first team in training, game day preparations, and game management.

“I am very excited to have Coach Matt back on the sideline with me. It is weird to think about, but he has been with me since the very beginning as he was a part of my first recruiting class. The success that this program has achieved, is largely due to Matt’s commitment, loyalty, and desire to give back. His leadership with the players and work with them bears fruit on a daily basis. He is invaluable to us,” Coach Hoxie added.

The 2023 season is a massive opportunity for the players the program has developed over the previous years. Coach Malone commented, “Last season’s end saw the graduation of a number of leaders within the squad, leaving room for new players to step into big roles on the team. I’m excited to see how these players rise to the challenge left to them.”

Matt Malone played for Coach Hoxie for all four of his collegiate seasons, captaining the squad in his senior season, and experienced post-season play in three out of his four years as a Tiger. “It is a privilege to be able to give back to the same program that taught me so much about the game and helped to shape me into the man I am today.”

Matt is married to his wife Shannon, who was an All-American for the Tiger Women’s Soccer team during her time at the college, and they live locally with their two dogs. He works as the Institutional Effectiveness Analyst for the college and attends Crosspoint Church.

Didn't have a long-term experience with the site, however I found it more user friendly than CaptainU, which I had used in the past.
