Welcome to the 2009 Cocoa Expo Cup


We hope this letter will clear up any questions that you may have about the tournament. It includes a lot of important information so please be sure that you read the material carefully.

Sunday 12/27/09 8:00AM to 8:00PM Pool games
Monday 12/28/09 8:00AM to 8:00PM Pool games
Tuesday 12/29/09 8:00AM to 8:00PM Pool games and Semi finals
Wednesday 12/30/09 8:00 AM to 5:00PM Semi finals and Finals

ENTRY FEE:

U9-14 $425
U15-16 $695
U17-19 $750

REGISTRATION:

REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY:
December 26th between 6 – 8 PM at Cocoa Expo Sports Center front lobby.

PARKING:

Parking is allowed in designated parking areas only and is available on a first come, first serve basis.

WATER:

Cocoa Expo will not provide water coolers on the fields. Water is available to fill coolers.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

Shall be unlimited unless otherwise noted by tournament officials.

**You will receive your final schedules at registration, PLEASE inform parents that schedules received prior to registration are subject to change.**

PLAYER/TEAM CREDENTIALS:

All players and coaches must have current, verified USYSA passes or passes issued by their state association (IF A U.S. TEAM). International teams will present passports so that participation passes can be issued. You must provide a completed roster approved and signed by your association. These items will be reviewed by the tournament committee before a team can play. Each player must have a medical release form filled out and retained by the coach during the tournament. If you have your own medical release form they will be accepted as long as they are current and notarized. Teams from outside Florida must submit a permission to travel form in addition to the roster and the medical release forms.

HOUSING:

Teams must stay in approved hotels or dormitory if they are not local teams. Remember to fill out housing form and return prior to first day of competition.

LODGING FORM (DOES NOT APPLY TO LOCAL TEAMS):

The Lodging Form must be returned no later than 5 days prior the first day of competition.

BANNERS AND PATCHES:

Teams who have them are encouraged to display banners and exchange patches with opponents throughout the tournament.

REFEREES:

Only certified USSF Referees will be utilized. If your team has any qualified Referees who will be attending the tournament, we welcome their participation. Interested persons should fill out the Referee Application on our website at

SPECTATOR ADMISSION:

There will be no spectator admission charge to attend the 2009 Cocoa Expo Cup Tournament.

MEDICAL:

An emergency medical technician / trainer will be located at the fields during the entire tournament.

GAMES:

Three games are guaranteed unless circumstances beyond our control occur (Examples: a team does not show and we would award a forfeit. An international team could not get visas we would award a forfeit) or due to acts of God.

AWARDS PRESENTATION:

Team trophies and individual awards will be presented to Champions and Finalists

TOURNAMENT SHIRTS:

Tournament T-Shirts are available all concession stands for $15.00 or can be pre-ordered following the instructions included in this information packet.

FOOD & BEVERAGE:

Concession stands will be located throughout the Complex. Guests will not be permitted to bring any outside food or beverage onto the facility. No water coolers will be provided on the fields.
