      Teams,

We are continuing with the 2021 Gulf Coast Invitational, however we are adjusting game times and game lengths for SATURDAY and SUNDAY in an attempt to preserve the fields for the entirety of the event.  Game times and game lengths for FRIDAY night games will remain the same.

Schedules have been updated online for Saturday and Sunday.  We are pushing the start times back to 11:00am on Saturday to allow the fields more time to drain after tonight's impending rain.  We are pushing the start times back to 9:30am on Sunday to allow the fields more time to drain from Saturday night's impending rain.  Please check your schedule and be sure to update your players/parents.

For Saturday and Sunday, ALL AGE GROUPS WILL PLAY 25 MIN HALVES.

Please keep in mind the overflow parking area at Foley Sports Tourism Complex is a grass parking lot.  Should we get a lot of rainfall it could become muddy so we urge teams to carpool as much as possible to limit the amount of cars in the parking lot.

Team Warmups should take place off the fields as much as possible.  NO WARMUPS IN THE GOAL MOUTH AREA!

Weather Guidelines have been posted to the website which explain how delays will be handled (if we have any delays) - CLICK HERE

We will be communicating all weather updates in three ways:
      1. Posting to the tournament website (www.gulfcoasttournament.com)
      2. Posting to the tournament facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/GulfCoastInv)
      3. Emailing Coaches/Managers directly through SINC

We are excited to host your team this weekend!

      Thanks,
      Tournament Staff

      Teams,

After speaking with the complex there are currently no plans to pull the fields for this weekend.  There is water around the fields in some areas but there is currently no standing water on the fields.  The forecast is trending in a better direction than it was 48 hours ago and we are hoping it continues for the better.  We are continuing as planned with the 2021 Gulf Coast Invitational starting with games tomorrow night (Friday).

      Teams,

We are monitoring the weather for this weekend’s Gulf Coast Invitational.  The fields drain very well, and we have been told it is very unlikely that the fields get pulled due to rainfall.  Staff will be walking the fields tomorrow and speaking with the complex.  At this time we do not plan on cancelling the event.  It appears that we will be playing through some rain and hoping to avoid lightning/thunder delays.  As of now, Sunday looks good.  We will post another update tomorrow night (Thursday) after we walk the fields, talk with the complex, and have a better understanding of the radar.

We understand that many teams are traveling in and have hotel rooms.  Some of these hotel rooms have deadlines for cancelling hotel rooms tomorrow (Thursday).  As stated above, at this time we do not plan on cancelling this event.  We have been told that each individual hotel has its own cancellation policies and in some cases, they will honor a 24-hour window, but it is entirely up to each hotel.

Again, we do not plan on cancelling this event, there may be some delays but we plan on playing.  We will continue to monitor the weather and keep you updated.  We are looking forward to hosting your team!

      Thanks,
      Tournament Staff
