Stephen Peck, Jr.

Stephen Peck, Jr. begins his fourth season as head coach Edward Waters Women's Soccer Program.


Peck brings wealth of experience and a championship pedigree to his new role at Edward Waters. Peck comes to Jacksonville from Jackson State University, where he spent three seasons from 2016-2018 as head coach of the women's soccer program. While at JSU, Peck led the Lady Tigers to two SWAC Conference Tournament apperances, coached six All-SWAC selections, and brought in the recruiting classes that are currently the backbone of the JSU women's soccer program.


Prior to Jackson State, Coach Peck was the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Oakland City University. Over a four year period of time, from 2012-2016, Coach Peck led the Mighty Oaks to victories over Top 15 nationally ranked teams in both 2012 and 2015. They qualified for the post-season tournament each year of his tenure making the Regional Finals in 2013 & 2014 seasons. In 2013, Coach Peck was honored as the Independent Collegiate Athletic Association's Coach of the Year.


Prior to Oakland City, Coach Peck was the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Culver-Stockton College. In 2010, Coach Peck led the Wildcats to the program's highest winning percentage in over 15 years. Coach Peck was recognized for his turnaround of the Wildcats program by the conference coaches.


Prior to Culver-Stockton, Coach Peck was the Head Coach at Jefferson College. Coach Peck started the program a Jefferson College and during his tenure the team won 4 straight Regional titles, 3 consecutive District titles and participated in 3 National Championship Tournaments. Coach Peck had one of the highest scoring teams in the country every season and one of the toughest defenses annually as well. Coach Peck's 2006 team won the National Title finishing 21-3-2 on the season. This is still the only National Championship in the history of a much decorated athletics program. Coach Peck was honored for the second time as NSCAA National Coach of the Year.


Prior to Jefferson College, Coach Peck was the Head Coach at East Central College. Over five seasons Coach Peck was able to win 4 straight Regional titles, a District title and participated in a national tournament. Coach Peck led his 2003 team to a 17-4-2 record and a 3rd place finish in the national tournament. Coach Peck was honored as the NSCAA National Coach of the Year and for the first time ever, the award was awarded to a coach that did not win the national title.


In 2013, Coach Peck was elected to the Jefferson College Athletic Hall of Fame along with the members of his 2006 National Championship team. In 2015, Coach Peck was honored to be elected into the Region XVI Hall of Fame for his accomplishments at both East Central College and Jefferson College.
