Andrew Beverly

Andrew Beverly is the head coach of the Penn State Altoona men's soccer program. He was announced as the fourth head coach in the NCAA Division III era of the program on August 2, 2022.


Beverly played for Division II Lock Haven University men’s soccer from 2001-03 and brings numerous years of coaching experience at the high school and club levels to the men’s soccer program at Penn State Altoona.


Beverly attended Lock Haven from 2001-03, where he competed for the Bald Eagles’ varsity men’s soccer team. He later graduated from Penn State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Movement Science.


Beverly’s coaching experience is highlighted by stints with several high school and club programs in Pennsylvania.


Beverly’s first high school coaching position came at Central Mountain High School, where he served as the assistant coach of the girls soccer program from 2005-14. He went on to be the assistant coach of State College Area High School’s boys soccer team from 2015-17, and most recently, was the head coach of the Penns Valley Area High School girls soccer team from 2017-22.


Beverly has been equally involved in coaching at the club level, serving several programs around the state. From 1998-2001, he coached with the ENCO Soccer Club U12 Boys team in Easton, then was the coach and club coordinator for Second to None Soccer Club in Beech Creek from 2003-10. He moved on to the West Branch Soccer Club in Lock Haven, where he served as the director of coaching from 2010-12, then was a staff coach with the U12 Boys and Girls Williamsport Area Olympic Development Program. From 2011 to present, Beverly has been the assistant director and premier team coach for Penn United Soccer Academy in State College.
