Meagan Anderson

Former OC women’s soccer player and assistant coach Meagan Anderson was named as the Lady Eagles’ head coach on May 18, 2017, becoming the sixth person to hold that position in the program’s 25-season history.

Before returning to OC, the 31-year-old Anderson spent five seasons as the head coach at Edmond North High School, posting a 60-22 record and guiding the Huskies into the Class 6A semifinals in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017 and into the quarterfinals in 2014.

She was an assistant coach at Edmond North when the Huskies won consecutive Class 6A titles in 2010 and 2011 and finished as the state runners-up in 2012. Anderson also served as the assistant coach for the West squad in the Oklahoma Soccer Coaches Association Class 6A girls All-State game in 2012.

Then known as Megan Pless, Anderson – a former prep standout from Springdale, Ark. – played forward for the Lady Eagles from 2004 to 2007, starting 48 games and helping OC qualify for the NAIA Championship in 2004 and 2006 – two of the program’s three national-tournament appearances.

In 2006, she started for a squad that won the Sooner Athletic Conference title and went undefeated for 19 games while posting the best record in school history at 17-2-2.

Soon after her graduation from OC, Anderson stayed on campus, joining then-head coach Randall Robison’s staff when he was hired in 2008. She spent five seasons as an assistant coach at OC, helping the Lady Eagles to a pair of double-digit-win seasons in 2008 and 2009.

Anderson holds an Advanced Regional, Level VI, certification from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and a National C coaching license from the U.S. Soccer Federation.

Anderson is married to Dustin Anderson and the couple lives in Edmond with their two sons, Aiden and Wyatt.
