Chris Fresco

Chris Fresco enters his first season with Louisburg College Women’s Soccer. Fresco comes to Louisburg College with coaching experience at the collegiate, club, and youth academy levels. He most recently has coached for North Carolina FC (NCFC) in Raleigh NC. Fresco has been at NCFC since 2018.


Prior to coaching at the Raleigh-based club, Fresco was the Director of Operations and head coach at New York Soccer Club (NYSC) from 2015-2018. At NYSC, he was involved in all aspects of running club operations while also coaching in the Development Academy and Premier programs. During the winter seasons, he was a coach for NYSC Futsal. During his time at NYSC, Fresco helped develop players who eventually represented national teams, moved on to professional academies, or graduated to colleges and universities.


Before moving to New York City, Fresco was an Assistant Coach for Women’s Soccer at Columbia College in Columbia SC from 2011-2015. As an assistant there, he was responsible for multiple responsibilities which included coaching, recruiting, scouting, and various day-to-day operations. In 2013, the Columbia College Women’s Soccer program fundraised and traveled to Kingston, Jamaica on an international mission trip. During his time at Columbia, the Women’s Soccer program achieved a number of firsts in school history: Finalists in AAC Conference Tournament (2011), first winning season (2011), consecutive double-digit win seasons (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014), multiple NAIA scholar athletes (2012, 2013), conference golden boot winner (2013), and freshman of the year (2013). During his time in South Carolina, he was also a Director of Coaching and head coach for Lexington-based youth club, Liverpool FC America - South Carolina.


Originally from Seattle WA, Fresco grew up playing soccer in Washington State and started coaching at local clubs and organizations in the Seattle-area. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and later his Master’s degree in Recreation and Sport Administration from Western Kentucky University. Fresco holds his US Soccer Federation (USSF) B License and United Soccer Coaches (NSCAA) Advanced National Diploma. He resides in Durham NC with his wife, Amber Fresco and their two children, Iris (3) and Edgar (1).
