Bryan Kehr is enetering his tenth season as head coach for the women's soccer team. Kehr graduated from Goshen College in 1982 with a BA in Physical Educaiton and Family Life Education. At Goshen College he Iettered four years in baseball. Bryan then went on to receive his master's degree in Physical Education from Emporia State University.
Prior to coaching at Hesston, Bryan coached at San Antonio Lanier (1987-93) where he led the women's soccer team to their first District and Bi-District championships and was selected to coach the TASCO south all-star team. At Lanier he also coached track and volleyball.
He then went to coach at Bethany Christian High school where he started the women' soccer program, compiling a 109-76-16 record while winning four sectional championships and one regional championship in 10 years. This was during an era where there was not a class system in Indiana sports and the school of 250 regularly won against much larger schools. During last four years at Bethany he served as athletic director.
In Bryan's free time he enjoys reading, playing with grandchildren, teaching junior high Sunday School, and enjoying music. He currently resides with his wife Anita in North Newton, KS. Anita serves as pastor at First Mennonite Church in Newton, KS They have three children (Hannah Heinzekehr in Goshen, IN, Maya Kehr Yoder in North Liberty, Iowa, and Elias Kehr in Seattle, WA) and three grandchildren.
