Silas Acuff

Silas Acuff recently accepted the position of Assistant Soccer Coach after completing four years of competition under Coach David Erskine. He shared that the opportunity allowed him to continue to be able to share the gospel and help students develop Godly character. His last senior year the HLGU soccer team won the AMC Championship and went on to qualify for the NAIA National Championship going 12-4-4 on the season.

He chose to stay at HLGU as a coach because of the gospel-centered atmosphere on campus, which allowed for several different ministry opportunities. On the flip side, as a student, I thoroughly enjoyed played soccer under Coach Erskine and I was able to develop as a leader on a team. God gave me many opportunities to be a light and I want to continue doing that here at Hannibal-LaGrange University.
