Josh Galvin

Franklin College Director of Athletics Andrew Hendricks announced the addition of Josh Galvin to the staff as the new head coach of the men's soccer program, effective as of Feb. 21, 2022.

Galvin comes to Franklin with a wealth of experience at the Division III level both as a player and as a coach. He takes over a Grizzly program that is coming off a fourth-place finish in the conference standings and hosted the program's first ever post-season game back in the fall.

From 2019-22, Galvin assumed assistant coach duties for both the men's and women's soccer programs at his alma mater of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. During his three years on the sidelines, Galvin helped guide the Norse to 32 wins and a trip to the Division III quarterfinals back in 2019. Prior to re-joining the Norse, Galvin was an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where he broke into the coaching ranks back in 2018 and was part of a Pioneers team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

As a player, Galvin was a four-year letter winner for the Luther men's soccer team, serving as team captain as a junior and senior. During his time as a student-athlete at Luther, the Norse claimed 52 wins, and Galvin was named the team's Offensive MVP his senior season.

Galvin graduated from Luther in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. In December 2021, he earned his Masters in Adult Education from UW-Platteville.
