Michael Antoniewicz

In his third year as Head Coach for Coker, Antoniewicz's team scored 6-2-9 overall and 5-0-6 in South Atlantic Conference play with a South Atlantic Conference post-season appearance against LMU. During the 2022-23 season Antoniewicz coached seven SAC All-Conference players consisting of Gustavo Palmieri, Celestin Blondel, Che Richards, Matty Tricker, Frederic Benedix, Nikola Sotra, and Jasper Rump. Gustavo Palmieri was also named the SPC Credit Union Athlete of the Month.


In 2021, coach Antoniewicz led his team to the South Atlantic Championship, where they took down Mars Hill in a 2-1 victory. Fokam-Sandeu was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. In the same year, the team made history as they were nationally ranked numerous times, were as high as #4th in the nation, and held it for several weeks. Jaques Fokam-Sandeu was named to the South Atlantic Conference Preseason All-Conference First Team. Michael Antoniewicz led the Cobras to a solid season in his first year at the helm, as the Cobras went 10-8 and 5-5 in the South Atlantic Conference. Coker upset No. 16 Lander 1-0 on Sept. 25, which propelled them to their first national ranking since 2012 when they cracked the next week's United Soccer Coaches national poll at No. 15. Coker played its way into the South Atlantic Conference tournament as the No. 8 seed, going on the road to upset top-seeded Carson-Newman 5-1 and advancing to the SAC tournament semifinals. Coker would have three players selected to the All-Conference Teams in Christian Provenzano (First Team), Jacques Fokam-Sandeu (First Team) and Robi Obrstar (Second Team), while Provenzano was also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team. the men's soccer program excelled in the classroom as well, with Riccardo Ricci winning the South Atlantic Conference's Elite 20 Award for the highest GPA, and also being named a CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team selection and later a CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-American®. Men's Soccer also had a solid year in the classroom, posting a 3.44 team GPA for the year and also had 17 men selected to the 2019-20 SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll. Men's Soccer also finished sixth in all of Division II in community service hours.


Antoniewicz was named the new Head Men's Soccer Coach at Coker on Dec. 21, 2018.


Antoniewicz makes his way to Hartsville after spending the last three years as the assistant men’s soccer coach at Truett McConnell University, in which he assisted in all aspects of the day-to-day operations. During his time at Truett McConnell, Antoniewicz helped guide the Bears to a 32-20-3 record. Antoniewicz helped lead the Bears to their first ever Appalachian Athletic Conference Championship and first ever NAIA tournament appearance in 2017 after finishing the season with a record of 16-4-2.


His duties as assistant soccer coach at Truett McConnell include being the head of recruiting, compiling scouting reports, running training sessions, field maintenance, and player management on and off the field. Antoniewicz also aided international students with their student visa process and the NAIA eligibility process, while also handling off campus evaluations, campus visits, and social media development projects.


Along with his work at Truett McConnell, Antoniewicz served as an academy coach for the 2018 MLS Cup Champions Atlanta United and the head coach of the Lanier Soccer Academy. He has coached some of the top soccer prospects in Georgia during his time in the Atlanta United Academy, leading training sessions throughout the academy system. He also holds a USSF Level D License.


Antoniewicz graduated from Truett McConnell in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Sports Management and is currently pursuing Master of Business Administration. He is a native of Kirkcaldy, Scotland and is the husband of Brianna Antoniewicz.

Matt Dunn

In his first year as Assistant Coach for Coker, Dunn helped bring in a record of 6-2-9 overall and 5-0-6 in South Atlantic Conference play with a South Atlantic Conference post-season appearance against LMU. During the 2022-23 season Dunn helped coached seven SAC All-Conference players consisting of Gustavo Palmieri, Celestin Blondel, Che Richards, Matty Tricker, Frederic Benedix, Nikola Sotra, and Jasper Rump. Gustavo Palmieri was also named the SPC Credit Union Athlete of the Month.


Matt Dunn was named as Coker Men's Soccer's assistant coach on June 7, 2022.


Dunn comes to Hartsville after serving two years as an assistant coach on the women’s staff at Fort Hays State University. Dunn coached five All-Conference selections in two seasons, and the team reached the conference tournament in 2021. Prior to Fort Hays State, he was a student assistant at his alma mater Lees-McRae College, assisting with camps and all facets of the program in the offseason.


Dunn appeared in 33 games in a Lees-McRae Bobcats uniform over four seasons, and was also Team Captain as a senior. Dunn played in four Conference Carolinas tournaments, as the Bobcats reached the tournament semifinals twice during his career.


Dunn holds an English FA Level Two Soccer Coaching certification, is a holder of an English FA Youth Module 1 and also holds a United States Soccer Federation D License. He earned his master’s degree in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in exercise science from Fort Hays State in May 2022, while also holding a bachelor’s degree in Health and Wellness with a concentration in Human Performance from Lees-McRae, which he earned in 2020.

Tony Vu

Tony Vu joined the Coker University men's and women's soccer staff in July 2022.


In his first year as the Graduate Assistant Coach for Coker Men's Soccer, Vu helped bring in a record of 6-2-9 overall and 5-0-6 in South Atlantic Conference play with a South Atlantic Conference post-season appearance against LMU. During the 2022-23 season, sophomore goalkeeper Jasper Rump possessed a 0.81 GAA (the fewest since 2013-2014), 6 shutouts (the most since 2011-2012), and the fewest goals allowed in the overall regular season (14) in program history. Vu helped coach seven SAC All-Conference players: Jasper Rump, Gustavo Palmieri, Celestin Blondel, Che Richards, Matty Tricker, Frederic Benedix, and Nikola Sotra.


During the 2022-23 Women's Soccer season, the program enjoyed its best season in 7 years with a record of 4-8-3 and being the last of three NCAA Division II teams to not concede a goal in its first 5 games. Vu guided Coker senior goalkeeper Sarah Swaim to a 1.40 GAA (the fewest since 1993-1994), 7 shutouts (the most since 1993-1994), and the fewest goals allowed in the S.A.C. regular season in program history (21). Under Vu’s tutelage her senior season, Swaim reached 3rd all-time in career shutouts (9) and 4th all-time in career saves (346) among Coker Women’s Soccer goalkeepers. Vu helped coach one SAC All-Conference Third Team player, Nour Noujhaim.


Coker Men’s Soccer finished #2 nationally among all NCAA Division II men’s soccer programs in volunteering hours, and Coker Women’s Soccer finished #3 nationally among all NCAA Division II women’s soccer programs in volunteering hours.


Vu is currently an Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach with the Florida Olympic Development Program.


Vu comes to Coker from the Leg-A-Z Soccer Academy in Gainesville, Fla., where he was the Director of Goalkeeping, an Assistant Coach for the UPSL team, and helped Leg-A-Z win 4 Florida State Cup championships since 2012. Vu has also spent time with P.K. Yonge High School women's soccer and with the University of Florida club men's soccer team.


He holds a United States Soccer Federation "C" License, a Scottish Football Association Goalkeeping Coaching 1.2 Certificate, and a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 3 Diploma.


Vu holds a Bachelor of Science in Family, Youth, and Community Service from the University of Florida (2017).
