Adam Preston

Adam Preston begins his 21st season as the head coach going into the 2023 season. Preston led the program to their first national championship win by defeating Judson University 3-1 to win the NCCAA national championship during the 2021 season.


Adam Preston began his coaching career with two years as an assistant coach at Campbellsville High School before joining the Campbellsville University staff in 2003.


He has been named the Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year four times (2006, 2008, 2015, 2016), NSCAA/NAIA Region Coach of the Year once (2016) and carried the Tigers to the program’s first two NAIA Tournament's in 2015 and 2016. In addition, Preston led CU to three national tournaments in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).


In 2019, Coach Preston finished with a 14-7-1 overall record going 5-3 inside MSC play. He led the Tigers to their First NAIA Appearance since 2016. Preston was named NCCAA Mid-East Region Coach of the Year, while coaching six NCCAA All-Americans in Maximilian Kohlfuerst (First Team), Marc Lawerence (First Team), Owen Stott (Second Team), Connor Grant (Second Team), Tom Edge (Second Team), and Gustav Oskarsson (Third Team).


In 2016, Preston led CU to the best season in program history. The Tigers won the MSC regular season and tournament title en route to breaking the NAIA's longest unbeaten streak at 36 games (31-0-5). CU was upset in the NAIA Opening Round and competed in the NCCAA Championship with a 1-1 record.


Gonzalo Sapena, Daniel Nimmo and Nathan Heath led the Tigers by being named First-Team NCCAA All-Americans, while Alex Higdon earned Second-Team honors and Yudai Yamauchi was named to the Third-Team. In addition, Ignacio Mangada was named the MSC Freshman of the Year and Matt Farthing earned the Champions of Character award.


In 2015, the Tigers won the first Mid-South Conference regular season title and were chosen as an at-large selection for the NAIA National Tournament.


The Tigers finished the season with a 18-2-2 record and went a perfect 10-0 at home and 7-0 inside the MSC.


So far in Preston's career he has coached four Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year, three Mid-South Conference Players of the Year, 48 All-Americans, and 139 All-Conference performers.


A native of Paducah, Ky., Preston is a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. He earned a B.S. in marketing/management from Campbellsville University in 2003 and a Master's in Business Administration from CU in 2007.


He played collegiately at Campbellsville where he was a four-year starter and two-time team captain. During his career, he received All Mid-South Conference Team honors as a Second Team selection and honorable mention. He was also an Academic All-Conference selection.


He and his wife Brittany have a daughter and son Avery Preston and Will Preston.

Drew Sin

Entering the 2023 season Drew Sin is in his 5th season as the Tigers assistant coach along side Adam Preston.


In 2019, Sin helped lead the Tigers to a 14-7-1 overall record going 5-3 inside MSC play. He also helped lead the Tigers to their First NAIA Appearance since 2016. Sin was able to assist in six NCCAA All-Americans in Maximilian Kohlfuerst (First Team), Marc Lawerence (First Team), Owen Stott (Second Team), Connor Grant (Second Team), Tom Edge (Second Team), and Gustav Oskarsson (Third Team).


A native of Cape Town, South Africa, Sin was a four-year starter for the Tigers and served his final two seasons as one of the team captains. Sin was also a three-time recipient of the Campbellsville University Champion of Character Award, presented to one player from each CU sports program annually.


In his four years as a defender on the CU men's soccer team, he played in 83 games while starting 67 contests on the Tigers' back line. Over that time, he recorded two goals and five assists with his season-high in points came in his senior season of 2013 when he finished with a goal and two assists.


Sin graduated from Campbellsville University in December 2013 with a degree in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science, thereafter completing a Medical Honors degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine from the University of Cape Town, with a research emphasis on Performance Analysis in elite Rugby-Sevens. Sin now utilizes his exercise science background and playing experience to add value to the Tigers men's soccer coaching staff, while also coaching and managing the Tigers men's reserve team.


In 2021, Sin helped lead the program to their first national championship win by defeating Judson University 3-1 to win the NCCAA National Championship during the 2021 season.


In 2017, Sin co-founded Accord Agency, a strategic sales and marketing agency operating within Cape Town.
