Carl Kennedy

Kennedy's coaching career highlights include his tenure with the Blackpool Academy from 2020 to 2021 and his recent role as a graduate assistant coach at Missouri Baptist University. At Missouri Baptist, Kennedy played a vital role in the team's impressive rise, contributing to the program's first top-25 ranking since 2006 and a notable improvement in win totals by six games.


Originally from Blackpool, England, Kennedy has a Level Two coaching badge from England.


Before joining Missouri Baptist, Kennedy served as an Academy Coach for Blackpool Football Club from 2020 to 2021 where he planned and assisted coach sessions for the professional football club’s academy and helped with player and youth development.


Before that, he was an Academy Soccer Coach at Carolina Velocity FC in North Carolina from 2018 to 2020. During his time there, he played a pivotal role in training sessions throughout the academy and successfully planned training sessions to enhance player development.


In addition to his coaching experience, Kennedy boasts an impressive playing career. He graduated from Shaw University in May 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, where he also served as the captain of the Shaw University team from 2018 to 2020 as a starting center midfielder. Kennedy's exceptional skills and dedication led to his selection as one of the nominees for the Player of the Season while playing for the NPSL team FC Buffalo during the summer of 2019.


Kennedy's professional playing career also includes a stint with the St. Louis Lions in the former PDL, now USL2 league, in 2018. During his time at Chowan University from 2016 to 2018, he was voted all-conference second team in the conference Carolinas.
