High School Coach
"In Alex's 2 years, our team has won a Section IX Championship (our first in 11 years), 2 Division Championships, been ranked as one of the top 20 schools in New York State each year, and advanced as far as a State Quarterfinal Tournament game. Being part of that success is rare, but to do so in your Freshman and Sophomore year is even less frequent. More importantly, Alex has not just been a member of the team, but rather a contributor as both a starter and reserve. Alex has played striker and attacking midfielder in his 2 years on the team. Those positions require skill, tenacity and desire. I feel Alex has each of those attributes and they make him the player he is. I am looking forward to coaching Alex the next two years and seeing his maturity both as a player and a person".
John Van Pelt - Head Coach, Warwick Valley HS Boys' Varsity Soccer
