Welcome to the Maryland Rush Swoosh "99" (formerly the St. Jane Pink Panthers) website!   New club, new name, new league, new look . . . but SAME TEAM!  We are happy to have a place where parents, coaches and friends can provide information and stay current with team events and results.  Please click on the links above to discover more about our team.

The Swoosh "99" Family would also like to thank our sponsors.  Their support, gives the "girls" the opportunity to compete in tournaments that provide the highest level of competition.  This is essential for the continued growth and development of the team.  Links to our sponsor's websites are shown to the left.  THANKS!

Get Well Soon Olivia and Stay Healthy Swoosh!

Only three games into the regular season and Swoosh 99 has already had its fair share of injuries; knees, heads, ankles and legs.  25% of the team has already missed one or more games because of injuries.  Our latest injury is perhaps the most serious.  The Swoosh 99 family wishes a speedy recovery to Olivia Davis after suffering a season ending fracture to her lower right leg during the game against WSC Casa.  In true Pink Panther form, Olivia suffered her injury while agressively going after the ball and giving 110% effort to gain possession.

Injuries are a risk that every player faces when playing an organized sport, especially when competing at this level.  Physical preparation, proper warm up and flexibility exercises will help prevent injuries, but the risk will always be present (especially in contact sports).  Proper conditioning will actually help the body recover quicker from an injury.  For this reason, we are certain Olivia will recover quickly just in time for the Fall Season.  This emphasizes the need for every Swoosh 99 player to be in top physical condition, not just for competitive play, but to remain healthy and as injury free as possible.

Get Well Soon Olivia! We will miss you on the pitch!

Scott Langlois Named Head Coach of Northeast

Congratulations to our very own, Scott Langlois, for being selected as the head coach of the Girls Varsity Soccer team at Northeast High School!  Scott will also continue as the head coach of Swoosh 99.  This presents an interesting scenario and a great opportunity for the high school and Swoosh 99.  A majority of our players will be attending Northeast.  Scott has been the head coach of this group of girls for several years as a travel team and for many of them, since they were 8 years old as part of the original St Jane Pink Panthers! Being able to train, develop and mold a group of girls into a powerhouse soccer team over a potential 10 year period can only result in great things to come.

Congratulations Scott! - Look out Chesapeake; here we come!
