The Patriots Showcase tournament is approaching quickly and in order for this tournament to be a great success, we need volunteers. Just as a reminder, if you volunteer, your child’s spring registration fee will be reduced by $25.00. This is in addition to the fun and excitement you will be a part of during the weekend. This is a great time to meet coaches, parents and children from our club and other clubs from all over the southeast region.
The following volunteer positions are needed:
- Field Marshalls – these positions will assist referees where required and to ensure games are started on-time.
- Concessions- the club will run the concession stands. We are looking for donated supplies, however these volunteers may need to purchase items prior to the weekend and will also attend the concession stand throughout the weekend.
- Ball Boys and Girls – This position will provide a new ball to the player after the ball goes out of bounds. This will help eliminate the players from running after the ball.
- Tournament Headquarters - This position will oversee the tournament and provide support to all volunteers and participants.
- Spaghetti Dinner – Another exciting way for the teams and coaches to get to know each other. We will serve a nice dinner to all players and coaches at no additional cost and a minimal cost to all others who wish to attend.
- Grounds maintenance- The wonderful job of keeping the trash in the right receptacles and also making sure the receptacles have plenty of room for more trash. We really want to keep our park beautiful and the best fields in the CSRA.
- Team Registration – All teams will need to register at Hometown Sports located on Columbia Road, Friday night the 7th of December. The tournament teams will get their first impression of our Best in Class club at this time.
- Hospitality Room- This is a place for the referees and college coaches to take a break and get hydrated. We will provide fruits and drinks to both referees and coaches.
