I first want to thank everyone for coming.  While we hoped the rain would miss us more, the grass fields are completely unplayable after the heavy downpours. 

Our grass fields are completely unplayable for tomorrow,  including attempting PK's. As such, all grass field games are CANCELLED.

GRASS FIELDS:

For grass fields: The system automatically does the tie breakers so whoever is listed in First Place currently will be crowned the champion and whoever is listed in second place currently will be crowned finalist.  The champion and finalist can come by the park at concession stand tomorrow at 1:00 pm to pick up your medals.  Your team is welcome to come for the medals,or just one representative is fine. 

TEAMS THAT PLAYED 1 GAME: we will issue you a 2/3 refund or a free tournament in August; it's your teams choice.  You can email Kenny Costello to uga0529@yahoo.com with your team name and age group and let me know which you prefer.

TEAMS THAT PLAYED 2 GAMES (PK's are counted as a game), we will give you a $200 credit towards the August or February event

SCORES:

I am sorry that all scores did not get updated. The refs had a hard time texting them in the cold and rain. If your game is missing a score, please text the game time, age, gender, teams, and scores ASAP to 770-378-6181

I tried everything to get this tourney in and unfortunately the field conditions worsened throughout the day.  With so many obstacles this has been my toughest tourney since organizing these.  I'm sorry if any of the decisions above; everyone will or will not agree with to me but it's the fairest way possible.  

TURF FIELDS:

ALL U13-15 MATCHES will be played tomorrow as scheduled as those are on turf.  All prelim games will remain 25 minute halves the Finals ONLY will move to 30 minute halves. 

I feel awful the way this all turned out. I want to wish you all good luck this season and in future tournaments and thank you for thinking of steamers fc for a tournament.  I hope to see you all in a august when we have all new grass.
