Competing in the Fall USYS NCYSA State Cup

 

Welcome to the Fall USYS NCYSA State Cup National Championships page. Age divisions for the Fall Cup are: GIRLS: U15-U18. The USYS Cup is open to all teams, but is the most competitive Cup NCYSA offers.


Fall 2009 USYS Dates and Locations

 

Oct 24/25 – Asheville (JB Lewis)

Oct 31/Nov 1 – Fayetteville (Jordan Soccer Complex)

Nov 7/8 - Final Four – Wilson (Gillette)


Necessary Paperwork

 

Your local registrar will be mailing in the red stamped roster and medical information.  Please notify them that your team as applied to one of the tournaments and make sure they will send in all the necessary information.  If you paid online for the USYS State Cup, NCYSA will not need any other paperwork from your team (other than the information the registrar will send in).  However if you are sending a CHECK for payment, we need you to print and mail your application or registration number with your check attached.  Please contact Ryan Scarborough  - 336-856-7529 ext 234 with any other questions


Online Registration

NCYSA has begun online registration for the USYS State Cup, the Presidents Cup, the Challenge Cup and the Recreation State Cup.

Teams will now be required to use the online registration process to apply to play in the NCYSA State Cup Series. Teams also have the option of paying online with a credit card or mailing a check.


Association Presidents are required to submit a list of teams from their club that are applying to play in any of the Cups in the NCYSA State Cup Series.

Region III State Cup Seedings Change:

 

 

For U 15- U 18 Girls (Fall State Cup) and U 14 Boys and U 14 Girls (Spring State Cup)

 

Two (2) NC Region 3 Premier League Teams participating in NCYSA State Cup:

 

With 8 Team Bracket: R3PL team will be seeded #1 and # 2 based on standings in R3PL division. NCYSA Premier League winner will be seeded # 3.

 

With 12 Team Bracket: R3PL teams will be seeded #1 and # 2 based on standings in R3PL division. NCYSA Premier winner will be seeded # 3.

 

With 16 Team Bracket: R3PL team will be seeded #1 and # 2 based on standings in R3PL division. NCYSA Premier winner will be seeded # 3.

 

 

Three (3) NC Region 3 Premier League Teams participating in NCYSA State Cup:

 

With 8 Team Bracket: R3PL team will be seeded #1, #2 and # 4 based on standings in R3PL division. NCYSA Premier League winner will be seeded # 3.

 

With 12 Team Bracket: R3PL team will be seeded #1, #2 and # 4 based on standings in R3PL division. NCYSA Premier League winner will be seeded # 3.

 

With 16 Team Bracket: R3PL team will be seeded #1, #2 and # 4 based on standings in R3PL division. NCYSA Premier League winner will be seeded # 3.

 

Four (4) NC Region 3 Premier League Teams participating in NCYSA State Cup:

 

With 8 Team Bracket: R3PL team will be seeded #1, #2, #3 and # 5 based on standings in R3PL division. NCYSA Premier winner will be seeded # 4.

 

With 12 Team Bracket: R3PL team will be seeded #1, #2, #3 and # 5 based on standings in R3PL division. NCYSA Premier winner will be seeded # 4.

 

With 16 Team Bracket: R3PL team will be seeded #1, #2, #3 and # 5 based on standings in R3PL division. NCYSA Premier winner will be seeded # 4.

SAT Dates

If you advance to the Final Four, one of the SAT test dates is November 7th. This is the same day as the Semi Finals for the Final 4 in Wilson. Below is the link to all other available SAT Dates for the fall and spring. NCYSA will attempt to work around the SAT on November 7th but we can not guarantee game times. Click here

Tie Breaking Procedures for Cup Seeding Purposes Only

1.  Winner of head to head competition.  If teams tied or split matches then the following is used
2.  Most wins versus common counting opponents.  If still tied then
3.  Goal Differential between common counting opponents.  If still tied
4.  Least goals allowed against common counting opponents.  If still tied
5.  Most goals scored against common counting opponents.  If still tied
6.  Coin toss


Tie Breaking Procedure for Division Ranking Purposes (during Cup play)

1. Result of head to head. 
2. Most Bonus Points (max of 3 per game)
3. Fewest goals allowed

4. FIFA "Kicks from the Penalty Mark" rules will apply in order to determine the winner, at a time to be 
   determied by the Tournament Director.
