| Atlanta Fire United Friendlies |
 Atlanta Fire United invites you to enter the 209 Atlanta Fire United Friendlies for academy teams and select teams. The Friendlies is santioned by GYSA and USYSA and will be played on August 29, 30, 2009 in the Suwanee and Duluth Metro Atlanta area. Competition is open to both Boys and Girls teams in the Academy, Athena, or Classic programs in the Under 9 through Under 19 age groups.
The Friendlies is a great way to get ready for the fall season without the added pressure of trying to win a tournament. Coaches can focus attention on specific aspects of the game with their team, try different formations, move players into different positions, bring guest players, etc.
Each team will play a minimum of 3 games, a maximum of 4 games with referees on game fields that should be in great condition. Teams are grouped based on competition level.
All tournament information will be posted on this website. Check back often for details and updates.
IMPORTANT DATES
Following is a summary of the important tournament dates.
June 2008 - Application available on-line
August 17 - Application deadline
August 19 - Acceptance notifications emailed
August 24 - Schedules posted
August 22 - Deadline for pre-ordering tournament T-shirts
August 28 - Team Check-in
August 29-30 - Friendlies games.
TEAMS
All teams must be affiliated with USYSA, AYSO, or US Club Soccer. Up to three guest players are allowed. Teams will compete in groups of similar competition level.

URGENT! We need one lower level U9 or U10 Girls team to fill an open slot as we had one team withdraw today. The slot has a very favorable schedule - middle of the day games. If you know of any lower level U9 or U10 Girls team that could fill the slot have them contact Hugh Kinsel at 404-717-3722 immediately.
SCHEDULE CHANGES: Some minor schedule changes were made in the U13 Girls Division, the U16 Girls Division, the U17 / U19 Girls, and the U19 Boys Division. All teams involved should have received an email. Double check your schedule if your team is in one of these divisions.
GAME CARDS: Caoches and team managers. You are now able to print game cards. You should have received an email with instructions.
T-SHIRTS: T-Shirts will bw available for purchase at Scott Hudgens Park and George Pierce Park for $10.00.
