Competing in the NCYSA Fall Recreation Festivals

NCYSA is offering Recreation District Festivals for Recreation teams ages U8 through U12. The Recreation Council, which is made up of representatives from all NCYSA member associations, voted to move away from the traditional State Cup for ages U12 and below and implement the Festival format for these ages. Classic and Challenge have adopted the same policy and NCYSA will no longer crown champions at ages U12 and younger.

In order to make it more convenient for Recreation teams to participate, NCYSA will offer Recreation District Festivals at two locations this Fall.

The Kohls' Recreation Festival is a "Festival" meaning there will NOT be any scores or standings kept!  This is strickly a fun day filled with soccer

Sites and Dates

District 3 -- Mebane, Nov. 8

Game times: Final schedule will be based on the number of teams entering, but the earliest games will begin is 9:00 a.m. The latest games will start is 5:00 p.m.

There is a check-in for all teams.

You will need:

1. A red-stamped, NCYSA Official Roster listing each eligible player;
2. A notarized Medical Liability Form for each eligible player.

Your local registrar can assist you with the above documentation.

To Register Individual Players:

You can register individual players online.  Please visit the "register tab".  The players will be placed in the player pool and will be assigned to teams.

Online Registration

Teams will now be required to use the online registration process to apply to play in the NCYSA State Cup Series. Festival teams must pay by check, money order or online. Teams entering the Festival are required to send in a certified roster (among other items, see below.) The fee to play in the Festival is $12 per player, and the payment sent must match the number of players on your roster, i.e. 10 players equals $120, etc.  The cost is $17 for Non-NCYSA Registered players.

All teams must still MAIL in the official red-stamped roster and the certified registrars form found here. Contact your association's registrar with questions.

Association Presidents are required to submit a list of teams from their club that are applying to play in any of the Cups in the NCYSA State Cup Series.
