US Youth Soccer State Championships are held in each of the 55 US Youth Soccer member state associations, some in the fall, but most throughout the spring. Champions in the Under 14 through Under 19 age divisions advance to represent their state association at their respective regional championships, where an invitation to the US Youth Soccer National Championships is on the line.

The US Youth Soccer National Championship Series provides approximately 185,000 players on 10,000 teams from US Youth Soccer’s 55 State Associations the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation. ....




Important Dates

Fall '08 - Official Fall '08 standings will be used for '09 State Cup seeding for all age groups except u19s.
February 2009 - Application available on-line.
April 15 - Application deadline.
April 17 - Last day late applications will be accepted.
April 28 - Seeds will be posted and play-in games announced. U19 seeding draw.
May 12 - Rosters named (frozen) and mandatory meeting for play-in teams.
May 16-17 - Play-in games.
May 27 - Rosters named (frozen) and mandatory meeting for all other teams....

Tournament Eligibility
The State Cup is open to all teams u13 and older, registered and in good standing with Georgia Youth Soccer Association.

Players and Teams
All teams and players must be registered with Georgia Youth Soccer. A valid Ga Soccer roster and player cards for each player, along with an official Tournament Roster, are required to participate....

May 17 - 6:45 am - please check the status of your field and make sure you are set for your game. As a courtesy, due to the weather, please let the opposing coach/manager know that everything is set. If you are a coach/manager in a play-in game and have questions, please email ssafriet@gasoccer.org.

May 16 - 7:30 pm - Congrats to the game winners and thanks to all teams, fans and referees that got their games played today - we know that it wasn't easy for some. Please remember to email your scores. Good luck to everyone tomorrow, and pray for sun!

May 16 - Play-in games are playing at this time. We understand that there is rain, storms in some locations. Please check with the team you are playing to make sure your game is going to be played as scheduled, the fields are playable, etc. The home team will determine if the fields are playable.

May 12 - Play-in game check-in is today, Tuesday May, 12 at the Georgia Soccer office. Hours are 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Please see complete information under the DOCUMENTS tab. There are not extensions for check-in.

January 2009 - Due to the number of schools still in session on Friday, May 29, State Cup round-robin will be played on Saturday, Sunday and Monday - May 30, 31 and June 1.
