Alex Harrison

Alex Harrison begins his eighth season as the WestConn Head Women's Soccer Coach, having served five seasons as the program's assistant coach dating back to 2010.

Harrison starts his eighth year with a combined record of 91-32-7. WestConn captured at least a piece of the Little East Conference Tournament crown in each of his first five seasons at the helm and has made four of the program's 15 overall appearances in the NCAA Division III national tournament under his watch.

Under Harrison, WestConn womens’ soccer athletes have picked up LEC Rookie, Defensive and Offensive Athlete of the year honors and he has received the conference's coach of the year award. Harrison has also coached several all-conference and All-New England selections and one All-American during his tenure. WestConn has been ranked nationally and in its region several times since Harrison took over the program.

Prior to WestConn, Harrison coached Brookfield High School boys' soccer, Ridgefield High School girls soccer and had a stint as a volunteer assistant for Central Connecticut State University's men's soccer.

Aside from his responsibilities at WestConn, he is currently the Director/Ambassador for the A.C. Connecticut club program and has served as the head coach for the A.C. Connecticut U.S.L Team and W-League Team.

Harrison was a two All-American at CCSU, a two-time Player of the Year and the Rookie of the Year for the Northeast Conference. In his sophomore year, he was the overall NCAA Division I leading goal scorer.

After graduating from Central in 2007 with a degree in exercise science and health promotion, he was drafted in the first round, as the sixth pick, to the Milwaukee Wave in the Major Indoor Soccer League. Harrison also played for the Wilmington Hammerheads in the United Soccer League.

He resides in Woodbury, CT with his wife, Lindsay and his two sons, Kaine and Blake.
