Thomas Paris

Queens College has named Thomas Paris as the new head coach of the women's soccer program, as announced by Director of Athletics Rob Twible. The fifth head coach in program history, Paris comes to Queens having served as the First Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at local East Coast Conference member Molloy College since the 2019 season.

"We are very excited to welcome Thomas to Queens College to become the head coach of the women's soccer program." Said Twible. "Thomas is committed to building a culture of success both on and off the field that will best fulfill our mission of providing our student-athletes with a championship-level experience."

With Paris as the First Assistant, he helped Molloy to a historic season in 2019 as the Lions went 15-5-3 winning the program's first-ever ECC title with a victory over New York Tech and advancing to the NCAA East Regional final.

Behind a historic 2019 season, the Lions coaching staff would earn United Soccer Coaches East Region Staff of the Year.

The Lions would collect a second consecutive ECC title in 2021 and earn hosting rights to one-half of the NCAA East Regional bracket. The 2021 squad would break the program record for most wins set during the 2019 season as the team went 18-3.

Under Paris's tutelage, the women's soccer program has earned 13 ECC All-Conference honors, including Offensive Player of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year honors.

"I am excited to be part of the Queens College community, I think there is a real opportunity here to build the program up." Stated Paris. "The team is filled with a lot of great people already with high academic standards, I will look to continue to build that up while adding more depth to the squad. From the Athletic Department to the players, everyone at Queens College has been very supportive during this process, We will be organized, and work incredibly hard to try and be successful on the field. Let's go Knights!"

No stranger to the club scene, Paris started his coaching career with the Massapequa Soccer Club from 2014-2018 as a Youth Coach before moving on to work with Auburndale Soccer Club in 2019.

Currently, Paris is the Assistant Club Director & College Placement Director with the Long Island Soccer Club.

As a player, Paris spent four seasons at St. Catharine College – Kentucky earning All-Conference Honorable Mention with the Patriots. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Leadership degree in 2013.
