Marc Neddo

Marc Neddo enters his third season as the head women’s soccer coach at Lyon in 2018.

Neddo, a native of France, came to Lyon after spending nine years as the technical director and head coach of the Football Club Bourg d’Oisans in France. There, he developed youth players ranging from 10-17 years old and coached teams that had several top three finishes.

Neddo also served as a game administrator and Missions Director at Hannibal LaGrange University in 2004-05 and 2007-08. While at HLG, he was an assistant coach for the men’s soccer team. While serving as the assistant to the vice president overseeing athletics, Neddo implemented mission trips, taught classes and created a more equitable scholarship attribution system.

Prior to HLG, Neddo served eight years as the head women’s soccer coach at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee where he built the program from scratch and turned it into a playoff team. The Lions were region champions and a recurrent national tournament qualifier under his supervision. He was also named Mid-East Region coach of the Year in 1998, 2002 and 2003. In 2000, Neddo was an assistant coach for a U.S. select team at two international tournaments in France and Switzerland that included Real Madrid, Boca Juniors and PSG soccer clubs.

Neddo earned a master’s degree, graduating with honors in Sports Science with a Sport Management emphasis from the United States Sports Academy in Alabama in 2000, and graduated with honors earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Bryan in 1992.

Neddo was a National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-American college player and then had a stint with semi-pro soccer clubs (Charlotte Eagles F.C. and Atlanta Express) before beginning the development of his coaching career.

He is blessed to have a wonderful wife Alisha, and a one year old smiling and alert daughter named Isabelle. They love the outdoors, smaller towns, and college students, so are really looking forward to living in Batesville and working at Lyon College.

I have had a profile on SINC Soccer for 4 years, and it helped me to organize my information so that I was ready when the recruiting process started. I had selected some schools using your site when I was 13 and that helped to start the conversation with those schools and find out about their ID camps, and when UNC made an offer I was prepared.
