Jamison Parkhill

College of Saint Mary Director of Athletics Robbie Shay is pleased to announce the hiring of Jamison Parkhill as CSM’s new head soccer coach.

After a nationwide search, the Flames ended up finding the best person for the job right across the Missouri River in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Parkhill has most recently been the assistant women’s coach at Iowa Western Community College for the last three years. During that time the Reivers won back-to-back NJCAA National Championships and compiled an impressive 53-6-1 record. He was part of the staff that was named two-time National Staff of the Year by United Soccer Coaches.

“We are super excited to hire a quality candidate in Jamison,” Shay said. “His passion for soccer and the experience he brings from the two-time NJCAA National Champions is exactly what we need. I am excited to see where he can take our program.”

Parkhill is also currently the Abraham Lincoln High School boys soccer coach – a position he has held since 2015. Other coaching stops have included Nebraska Christian College (Associate Head Coach), Gretna Elite Academy, Dakota Olympic Development Program and Nebraska Olympic Development Program.

Parkhill graduated from Morningside College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American History/World History Teaching and a coaching endorsement.

He’s excited to be back in the Great Plains Athletic Conference – this time as a coach instead of as an athlete.

“I was interested in this position because of the location, the roster, the chance to be back in the GPAC as a coach and the opportunity to put my own stamp on a program,” Parkhill said. “I’m super excited to get going. I want to make CSM a destination spot in the GPAC.”

Parkhill’s first day on the job was Monday and he’s grateful for the opportunity he’s received to lead the Flames. He’s also thankful for mentors Adam Sanchez (IWCC Head Coach), Shane Larson (IWCC Athletic Director) and Jeremy Tosaya (NCC Head Coach) who have helped prepare him for the new challenge.

Parkhill lives in Council Bluffs with his wife Emily and children Julia and Charlie.

The site was a great resource to sort colleges by my selection criteria, connect with coaches and be a repository for all of my communications. Overall, the best site that I used in my college soccer search.
