Mike Paye

An native of North Carolina, Coach Paye comes to Clarke with a championship mentality. Paye spend his first two seasons as the Associate Head Coach for the men's program before beginning as the team's head coach for the 2021 season.


In his first season leading the way, Clarke finished with a 7-10-1 overall record and a 4-7-1 record in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, the program's most overall wins since 2015 and their most wins ever as a member of the Heart.


Paye spent the previous two years at Iowa Western Community College as the assistant coach.


As a student-athlete for Tyler Junior College, Paye won the 2012 National Championship and was runner-up in the 2013 National Championship game. After his outstanding performance with TJC, Paye committed to play at Creighton University. During his two seasons at Creighton, Paye played in 43 games and in two consecutive NCAA National Tournament quarter-finals in 2014 and 2015.


Upon completion of his college soccer career and earning a bachelor's degree in Communications, Paye rejoined Tyler Junior College as an assistant coach with the men's soccer coaching staff. In his short stint as an assistant coach with TJC, Paye contributed to another TJC national championship. Shortly after the national championship, Paye would make his final attempt to play professionally but ultimately decided to continue to coach. In 2017, Paye was asked to become the Academy Director and Assistant Technical Director of Council Bluffs Soccer Club.


Paye has been apart of the Men's Soccer program at Clarke since August of 2019.

Alex Lee

Alex Lee is serving as an assistant coach for the men’s soccer program this season after working as a student assistant while finishing up his time on the men's lacrosse team.


A native of McHenry, Ill., Lee is pursuing a degree in business administration.
